13 random things.

1. I am so ecstatic that state testing is over!!!
2. I am thrilled that I DON'T have to walk around the room for two hours (or longer) while they take a test.
3. I can't believe that the students made it two hours or more without having to go to the bathroom.
4. I don't have to pack my classroom, because we are not getting the new floors.
5. I am waiting on my test results to see what strange illness I have now.
6. My joints are so swollen, yet it doesn't seem to be arthritis.
7. I was told it could be a major allergic reaction.
8. Whatever it is I want it to GO AWAY!
9. I only have four more days with students.
10. I have a total of six more days before summer vacation.
11. The students have officially let loose and forgotten that we still have procedures.
12. I am so tired of repeating the same names over and over.  I will probably say them during the summer just because it seems normal.
13. I hope I feel better in the morning!

13 random facts about my week and next week!

1. I stressed over a class art mural.  It has to be worthy enough for people to vote (pay) for it.
2. I'm also supposed to teach and give a practice state test while doing this mural.
3. Luckily, I have wonderful and creative friends that helped me shape my idea into something easy.  The kids are going to love it.
4. I went to training on Friday, because it was supposed to be different than what I had already learned.
5. It wasn't. It was the same.  BORING!
6. The GA class is completing a exciting project for those families that visit during our dedication service.  Each family will receive a bible with several verses marked, information about the church, and a card from the girls.  They seemed to be enjoying this project.
7. I've lost seven pounds!  YES!
8. Our school is having a biggest loser contest.  I'm not in it (knew better..can't part with the $100).  It has been interesting to watch them watch what everyone is eating. 
9. It was especially funny when they were sending cupcakes and other candy to each other.  You know they really wanted it, but wouldn't give in to the challenge.
10. My students are so bouncy and ready for spring break.
11. Their teacher is bouncy and ready for spring break.
12. I cut the grass today for the first time this spring.  Thus starts a long and never ending process.
13. Finally, the best for last.  One of my students wanted to give me her banana.  They know I love having bananas for my snack. I already had one and politely said no and thanked her.  I told her I had one, and she could keep hers.  She said that she really didn't want it now.  I asked why.  She said.....I don't really like them when they're rusted.

10. Meeting a child's parent instantly answers the question, "Why is this kid like this?"
11. You would choose a mammogram over a parent conference.
12. You think someone should invent antibacterial pencils and crayons....and desks and chairs for that matter.
13. The words, "I have college debt for this?" have ever come out of your mouth.

I'm going with the traditional 13 things that I am thankful for this year! 

1. My Savior--"Enter into his gates with thanksgiving, and into his courts with praise: be thankful unto him and bless his name."  Psalms 100:4  ---I need to remember this and remind myself that it's not a time to just talk about what is wrong or what I don't like!
2. My family--I have the greatest parents!!
3. My home--I have a roof over my head.
4. My friends--I am talking about those closest friends that would do anything for you!!  They make me laugh which is what I need most of the time!
5. My doggies--They make me smile!
6. My bed---Sounds a little funny, but after watching Extreme Makeover-Home a couple of weeks ago I treasure my bed.  There were five boys, and they were so excited to have a bed and not have to sleep on the floor!
7. My job--Even though it drives me crazy sometimes!
8. Food to eat---some do not have food for themselves or their families.
9. I passed my National Boards!--It was such a relief to know that I passed and would not have to do anything over!  I feel blessed!
10. Reading--Time to read over the holiday is wonderful.  I hardly take time to look at a book, must less read it.
11. A Whole Week--I am grateful for this week that I had for the holidays.  A time to relax and prepare for the next three weeks of rushing!!!
12. No Hurricanes---I am thankful that we did not have a hurricane even make us thinking of boarding up the windows!
13. Adoption--I am thankful that my biological mother was able to give me to such a great family.  I have been blessed with parents that love and support me!
