sobeitJournalhttp://sobeit89.squarespace.com/journal/2009-11-09T05:28:21ZSquarespacehurricane idahttp://sobeit89.squarespace.com/journal/2009/11/8/hurricane-ida.htmlsobeit2009-11-09T05:21:24Z2009-11-09T05:21:24ZWell, I thought this was going to be a year without hurricanes headed in our direction.  I guess I was wrong.  It appears that Ida is heading toward me...direct path, unless she makes that move east at the end like they say she might.  Even with the turn, it will be a day of high winds and rain.  Let me just say that after staying at home when Katrina hit, I'm not upset over this...but I will never underestimate the power of a hurricane!!!  The part that really bothers me is that we might have to miss a day of work.  Granted I need time to catch up on work and class assignments, however I don't want to make up the day with a day from Thanksgiving week. 

]]>wallshttp://sobeit89.squarespace.com/journal/2009/11/7/walls.htmlsobeit2009-11-08T04:56:33Z2009-11-08T04:56:33ZI can feel the walls closing in with all of the assignments that I have due between now and December 1st.  Yet, as soon as I finish this post, I am going to read a book...one that has nothing to do with school.  When I took my new job, I was so excited because at last I thought I would have time for me...to read...to write..time for my photography hobby....to do what I wanted to do but never could.  That was before I decided to go back to school.  Now, all I have is a bunch of busy work to complete! Urgh!!! I hope next semester is better than this!

Just  a few things about my week...

  1. I have a 20 to 30 page Lit Review due by Dec. 2nd.  I have started writing it.
  2. I have other assignments due and one professor keeps changing the assignments.
  3. I really need a break from work and a lot of sleep.
  4. I am frustrated by people who claim ignorance when really they are getting out of doing work.
  5. I have lost 18 pounds! Yay!!
  6. Tomorrow is our Staff Thanksgiving lunch at school.... a little early.
  7. I need to cut the grass...one last time!
  8. I miss my dog.. (she passed away a year ago Oct. 25th).
  9. It's that time of year when everything starts moving fast and time flies.  Won't be long until New Year's Eve!
  10. I am going to crochet an afghan for a Christmas gift. 
  11. I am looking forward to seeing "New Moon" and "The Blind Side".
  12. I am looking forward to reading books of my choice instead of textbooks.
  13. I am so glad the weekend is almost here!
