NaBloPoMo for this month (which I have already missed a day--sick headache yesterday) has a theme: Routine.  Well, I must say that one thing I want my blog to be is creative.  I hate boring layouts.  So I changed to this one, which is standard with squarespace however I hope to fix it up a little this weekend.

It's a holiday weekend, which meant that we were crazy to go out of town today.  Traffic was horrible, and I wasn't in the mood for two lane roads.  Yes, you know the ones where you get behind someone going forty mph.  Oh well, we accomplished out goal and made it to the bank.  Anyhow, let's just say that today was less than routine.  Hopefully, tomorrow will be back on track.

Today, although it is my summer vacation, I actually went to work and got my room ready.  Just a few little tweaks and it will be done.  Looking forward to some relaxing time...oh wait!  What am I thinking?  I have so much busy work for all of my (college) classes.  I only have one class that is interesting and helps me with things that are going on in my class.  The other two are a joke.  One has an instructor that never responds to email and hasn't graded a paper yet.  Oh well, I'm gonna finish this paper and go to bed...at least I can sleep late! :)

It has been too long.  I remember having so much fun doing this, and yet for some reason I can never find the time now.  I thought summer vacation would help, but since I'm in school and writing curriculum, I don't know if the time issue will be resolved.  But...I'm blogging now...so there's hope!

I'm a little hesitant about a class reunion this weekend.  One of the funny things is that I didn't actually graduate with this group, but was quite close with them when I moved.  I have often said that of all the places I lived, this was my favorite one.  It has been a while since I've seen most of my classmates.  I think that it will fun and interesting.  I just wonder if anyone is feeling a little retrospective and nervous like me!

Sixteen Candles is on the tv....oh the memories of high school! lol

Just another week for the kids and summer vacation will begin.  Of course we have to work til next Wednesday, but at least it will be simple stuff...just packing up for the summer.  I haven't heard anything about the new job, but hopefully it will happen soon.  This waiting is a thorn in my side.  I really wish I knew whether or not to pack up certain things or move them across the hall.  I know there is protocol but it would be nice to know.

I can't wait to go back to the eye doctor.  This prescription is definitely not working for me.  I am going to suggest that he doesn't dilate my eyes.  After waiting for hours I couldn't tell if the new glasses worked until the next day and then it was too late. 

My mind is blank as to my post for this evening.  I am aggravated with myself because I didn't make may goal of blogging every day this month.  I was just too tired the past two days and went to bed.  Now, I'm having a bit of writer's block.  Maybe in the next few days I will have better writing topics.
