Bits
I'm just a country girl from down south, with a love for God, books, dreaming, and being creative. I have a fondness for all things 80s, an eclectic taste in music and a passion for dogs, photography and writing. I like to spend time surfing the web, reading and oddly enough, cutting the grass. I hope you will find something interesting, wacky or creative enough to make you want to sit and visit for a while. Nablopomo

MEME-Tag

Amy at Laughing Through the Tears tagged me for this meme.  This is the first time that I've been tagged!!!!!!  So here are the rules:  Each player starts with "6 weird things about you", then tag six people at the end of your blog.  Leave a comment with those six people that tell them they've been tagged (and to check out your blog).  Then they will create a meme of their own with the rules stated.  Did ya get all that??? lol

Okay....6 weird things about me!!!!

  1. Maybe this is a teacher thing...I love the beginning of the year with new pencils, the smell of new books, new crayons, and new notebooks.  It just makes me giddy.  Kinda like in the movie "You've Got Mail" when Tom Hanks' character describes fall.....if you've seen it, then you will understand what I'm saying.
  2. I am a movie freak!!!  I love to watch them....and buy them.  Of course, the part that some people find weird is that I love even the older movies.  Most of the people my age don't know about "Pillow Talk" and "Barefoot in the Park".
  3. Animals.....I just go a little goofy over my doggies.  They are probably treated better than most.  They have beds, outfits, and all kinds of goodies.  They are my children, and I spoil them.  I just can't stand to see an animal on the side of the road or being mistreated.  It makes me crazy.  I would have an animal farm if I could!!!!
  4. I can't stand tomatoes, but I will eat tomato paste, ketchup, cooked tomatoes...etc.  I don't know why.  My parents have always eaten tomato sandwiches, which makes me gag!!!!  When I was younger, my mom always had to chop them really fine when cooking or I wouldn't eat it.
  5. It can be freezing outside, and I still have to have a fan going in my room at night.  I think that it's just a comfort thing.  I can't stand the silence without it!
  6. I am not a fan of shopping, but I can wander through a bookstore for hours!  I may not buy anything.  I just like the smell and look of new books.  Another thing that makes me giddy!

Okay,....I tag Angie, Lisa, Gail, Katrina, misszoot, and Hilly.

I love Pillow Talk! Own it in fact, as well as many other oldies but goodies. I was tagged too, and just thought I'd stop by and see how you answered. I believe I will have to sleep on this meme a wee bit. Thanks for sharing.

Thanks for doing the meme! We are so much alike it's scary...I totally get the newness of notebooks, crayons, etc! I love You've Got Mail :o) I am 42 but I love the older movies with Rock Hudson and Robert Redford! And while I do have three children I also have a bulldog that ranks right up there with the kids...is that bad? And if you read my meme you know how attached I get to any animal! And I, too love keeping a fan going year round. I love curling up in my quilt, but having a fan blowing at me at the same time! I love tomatoe sandwiches though!

I hope you have a very Merry Christmas Kelli!

Thanks for the tag, Kelli! If I don't get to it before Christmas, I'll put it on my list for after the holiday!

Oh - and I am with you on your #6. Shopping I can do without - but bookstores, I can spend hours in!

I adore the smell of new pencils. And the sound of new books opening. I totally believe it is a teacher thing. (At least I hope it isn't just me being weird.)
