I'm just a country girl from down south, with a love for God, books, dreaming, and being creative. I have a fondness for all things 80s, an eclectic taste in music and a passion for dogs, photography and writing. I like to spend time surfing the web, reading and oddly enough, cutting the grass. I hope you will find something interesting, wacky or creative enough to make you want to sit and visit for a while. Nablopomo

Back to Work

After a week off, it was hard to go back to work today.  However, I must say that it went quite well.  I guess the kids were still groggy from having a week to sleep, eat and play.  My poor dog looked at me through the door this morning as if to say, "Where are you going?  We can't snuggle!"  Of course the first day back was tutoring day.  Even though this is beginnings to drag me down, I think that it's a good thing.  I have one student and today as I was walking him out, I thought about him personally. There was no one at home.  HIs mother would have never known if he stayed with me or not.  Yet he chose to stay.  He is so quiet and struggles to make his grades, and I thought that maybe...... just maybe..... this is one student that I might can make a difference in his life.  Just a little eye-opener for me!  Well, short but sweet, gotta get up early!

It's very good that you had a moment of valedation, to see one student is enough to help. Good work! Sounds like you had a fantastic day off. I am trying to visit twenty blogs today and leave a comment.

I love the holiday decorations here at your blog. You are so talented!
